The day is filled with live music from start to finish... there is a kids activity area...awesome food....country market....silent auction.... Zack Werner will be there again this year & he is also bringing a Canadian Idol remote... we have Gregory Hoskins confirmed... Larry Mercey trio confirmed... and awesome local talent too.
Our first Hootenanny last year raised over $40k!! This year has incredible momentum already - it's going to be quite the event and for an awesome cause...
Heather Snell is from Ayr, Ontario and is the "Heather" behind the Hootenanny. Heather is living with ALS and has chosen to devote her energy to make a difference...Heather has always been involved with music and the community... music, the sense of community and hope will be the "feel" for the Hootenanny!!

Junior Farmers' Association of Ontario
The Junior Farmers' Association of Ontario's 2008 Charity Golf Tournament is taking place Friday, August 8, 2008 at Guelph Lakes Golf & Country Club, just East of Guelph. It is a 12:30pm shot-gun start, playing best-ball. All friends and supporters of Junior Farmers are invited.

The Shoppers Drug Mart Duck Regatta in support of Toronto East General Hospital Foundation
The Shoppers Drug Mart Duck Regatta in support of Toronto East General Hospital Foundation will take place at Ontario Place on Sunday, August 17 at 2pm.
It's the first event of it's kind in Toronto! We're racing 10,000 rubber ducks into Lake Ontario at Ontario Place.
1st Place Duck - 2008 Pontiac Wave donated by Roy Foss
2nd Place Duck - 52' Sony LCD Television
Ducks are $5 and can be purchased by calling 1-866-64-QUACK.
All funds raised will support the redevelopment campaign of the hospital.
KW Lacrosse Breast Cancer Fundraiser
The KW Girls U-19 Lacrosse team is hosting the Ontario provincial finals August 16-17 at RIM Park in Waterloo. The girls team is supporting breast cancer that weekend and raising money towards the cause. They have all died their hair pink, made pink t-shirts and are selling pink freezies, pink popcicles, pink lemonade and pink baked goods. Admission to the event is completly free, and all money raised will go towards the fight against breast cancer. Come and support a great cause and enjoy some of the best lacrosse in the province!

KML STUDIO - Cut-A-Thon
During the week of August 11-17, our salon, KML STUDIO will be hosting a Cut-A-Thon with proceeds going to children's poverty in Canada and worldwide. We are taking a part in a nation wide event and we would like to bring awareness to as many people as possible. With your help, we could reach people in neighbouring communities to be a part of this fantastic fundraiser.
Proceeds (a donation box, percentage of all that we earn from the entire week and all the proceeds from a charity BBQ) will be donated to the Redken OneXOne effort to help underpriviledge children in Canada and around the world.
